I obstinately refuse to 'do Christmas' until at least the start of December, so the tree's not going up for a while, and I haven't bought cards yet or started making a Christmas list. Wandering through town a couple of days ago I actually saw a group of people having a Christmas party. Presumably a works do as it was held at a city centre hotel. It was weird seeing them all in their party hats before even the first Sunday of Advent.
Today was a glorious day here in the South West. Cold and misty first thing, then bright sunlight bought out smiles as everyone seemed to be out and about, enjoying a walk by the harbourside and admiring the autumnal colours of leaves and the blue, blue sky. Days like this feel like a gift. I'm sure wind and rain, maybe even snow, will turn up soon, so let's get out while we can.
