WHAT’S THIS WEBSITE ALL ABOUT?
Hi, and welcome to make and sew and grow. It’s a site that aims to share my cobbled-together knowledge about craft, recycling and saving money, such as it is! I want to share step by step craft projects, as well as recommending websites, books etc that I’ve found inspiring. Also, once the site’s up and running I hope to have regular giveaways, so keep your eyes peeled for those. Things are very much still 'under construction' at the moment, so please bear with me!
WHO ARE YOU?
Ha! Good question. I’m no craft expert, just an enthusiastic amateur. I love needlepoint and patchwork, don’t have much money, regularly moan about my cat sharpening her claws on the sofa, and have been vegetarian for years. I’m doing voluntary work at the moment, trying to figure out where my supposed ‘career’ goes next (hence the not-having-much-money) and trying to write short stories and a radio play.
I hope you’ll enjoy visiting the site and would love to hear your comments, ideas etc, especially if you try out any of the ‘make it yourself’ projects featured.
Best wishes
Valerie
