These aren't the world's greatest photographs, but they're the best I can do on a gloomy Feb afternoon. This is a quilt in the making. I usually sew these endless hexagons into flower shapes (a plain centre and patterned 'petals') but this 'almost a triangle' design is so easy to assemble.
I've grouped colours together, so there's a line of reds, another of greens, pinks, yellows and browns, etc. I think it'll look good when it's finally quilted.
This is an ideal design for using small amounts of leftover fabric as it doesn't take much material to make up three hexs. The fun is in grouping colours and patterns, making an overall design that's pleasing to the eye.
